Der Libanoner Morgenstern Newspaper
Der Libanoner Morgenstern was a German-language weekly newspaper published in Libanon (Lebanon), Pennsylvania. Publication began on December 7, 1808 under Jacob Schnee. Jacob Stöver later owned the newspaper, and is the primary publisher for the duration of holdings by the State Library (1811-1837), usually alongside an unidentified partner "Scott" during which the newspaper listed the publishers as "Stöver und Scott". Publication ceased at an unknown date in the mid-1800s (sometime after 1837, most likely in 1839), likely under subsequent owner Samuel Miller.
The holdings of Der Libanoner Morgenstern at the State Library of Pennsylvania are not complete. The issues presented for the years digitized reflect the holdings of the library, and other issues may exist beyond these holdings.
